Thank you for your interest in applying for our full-time Marketing Coordinator role! This is a junior position. Before we get into all the details, let me first share some of the benefits:
Note: You will need a laptop to complete this application. You will also need to complete 2 test tasks.
- Completely location-independent. Work from home in your pajamas, from a coworking space, by the sea in Dahab, or from a nuclear bunker. Completely up to you as long as you have access to a laptop and a strong internet connection wherever you are. We may require a physical meeting in Alexandria once a month.
- We don't care about CVs. That's right. We follow a different recruitment process. We don't care about your professional background as long as you can prove that you have what it takes to do the job.
- Flexible working hours. Don't get us wrong here. This is a full-time job which means we expect you to work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Work must be done between 8 AM and 1 AM local Egypt time and the whole team must be working during our 4 "core hours". Other than that, things are flexible and you don't have to work from 9-5.
- Cool team (or at least we like to think we are). Please don't call me "Mr", we don't do that here. We don't micromanage or ask for useless meetings every 5 seconds. As long as work is going smoothly, we're good!
- Health insurance, gym membership and streaming subscription reimbursement. We will give you a full refund for the health insurance subscription, gym membership and streaming subscription of your choice (after 6 months working for us upon sharing original receipts, subject to yearly limits).

About the Business
So what do we do? I'm a software engineer turned digital marketer, you can learn more about me on the about page. I post content about business and marketing, host a podcast, run a content agency and occasionally experiment with side projects. You'll be helping with one or more of these things depending on your skillset, workload and current business needs/focus.
About the role
Where do you fit in all of this? Here's a list of potential tasks you can expect:
- Coordinating with content production team to choose the best parts of podcast episodes for reels, intros…etc.
- Assigning content writing tasks to writers/editors and managing delivery to clients.
- Editing (using CapCut), scheduling, analyzing the performance of video content and brainstorming what works and what doesn't, what to improve…etc.
- Researching market trends, new product/service opportunities..etc..
- Helping with testing, launching and marketing new products and services.
About you
We will teach you everything you need to know to do your job perfectly, so you don't need to be a pro at anything in particular. That said, we're still looking for some skills/personal traits.
- Self-disciplined. We absolutely HATE chasing people to do their jobs. That's just not us. Since you'll be working from home (or anywhere else), it may be tempting to slack off. We will never "chase" you to do your job. We'll warn a couple of times, if it happens again, we'll politely apologize for being unable to continue working together and we'll pay you what's due in full. We're looking for people who can keep themselves motivated and at peak performance without anyone having to push them to.
- Excellent English. We don't need you to be Shakespeare because you won't be writing a novel and there's also the beautiful blessing of AI nowadays, but you may need to often communicate with foreign clients or work on a task that requires strong English communication skills.
- Available full-time. Even if you're Superman, you won't be able to do this job in 2 hours per day and then juggle 3 other jobs with it. No way. This is a full-time job and you should be available to work for us full-time. This is non-negotiable.
- Super-organized. You'll find yourself often juggling different tasks, working with several tools and dealing with a few deadlines. You must be focused and organized. If you're not able to stick to systems and make sure everything is always in place, this job is not for you. We don't do things "bel 7ob" here.
- Technology-literate. Again, we don't need a programmer or "an" Einstein, but you do need to be very comfortable with the internet world, email and using laptops. Big plus if you've worked before with Google Docs/Spreadsheets or any team collaboration tools like Trello, Slack…etc. We also use several other tools but we'll teach you how they work. You should be willing and happy to learn and use new internet-based tools.
- Patient and detail-oriented. A client can get angry, a tool can break, a misunderstanding can happen with a teammate. Things happen and you're in the middle of it all. You should be able to keep your cool and pay attention to details.
- Open to learning and exploring new fields. New trends and ideas pop up every other day. You should be flexible enough to adapt, learn new things, and explore them on your own. Part of your job will be helping us test new services to offer clients, experimenting with new tools, and supporting us in developing fresh ideas. If you're the kind of person who gets excited about figuring things out instead of waiting for someone to explain everything, you'll fit right in.
- Ownership and proactiveness. When you're given a task, we expect you to treat it as your project — not something you're just "doing for the team." You take initiative, research, and figure things out on your own. Of course, we'll guide you when needed, but you're expected to own the task from start to finish. If something's unclear, you dig until you understand it. If there's a challenge, you find a way around it. That's the kind of ownership we value.
- Stable internet and modern laptop. You should have your own personal laptop that is fully functional. "Work from phone only" will absolutely NOT work. Your laptop should be reasonably capable of working with light editing software like CapCut. You also need to have access to a reliable internet connection that is at least 20 mbps in speed.
